Cancellation and Refund Policy for Destination Events

Thank you for considering our workshops! We put a lot of time, effort and investment into ensuring that it is an enjoyable, educational and memorable event. We hope you can join us!

Before booking, please read the information below. By booking a space in our event, you agree that you have read and understood our cancellation and refund policy. Due to the complex planning and logistics involved for your host, we are unable to negotiate this policy or grant special treatment later.

Please consider purchasing travel insurance, especially during these weird times.


Deposits


A deposit is due when you register with the remaining balance due on the date indicated on the workshop page. Your deposit is invested in important logistics such as field shoot location rental, conference room reservation, materials and any guest speakers. Everything necessary to make sure your experience is amazing.

A balance reminder will be sent one week before the due date. Balances left unpaid by the due date will result in a forfeit of deposit and your space being made available to the wait list. There is no exception.

Cancellations

Should you need to cancel, for any reason, please do so in writing via email.

91 Days or More Before the Event - Cancellations made at least 91 days prior to the workshop event will receive a refund less 30% of your tuition.

90 Days or Closer To The Event - There are no refunds of deposits or balances within 90 days of the workshop start date.

You may choose to sell your space to someone. In such a case it is your responsibility to collect reimbursement from the individual. Please notify us if you proceed with that option.

What If We Cancel?

That's not part of the plan but in the unlikely event this happens, you will be offered a space in the rescheduled workshop or the option of a credit for a future event at a different location within one calendar year.

Emergencies

If you are reading this due to an emergency, I hope everything is and will be okay! Standard cancellation policies outside 90 days applies here. However, should your emergency happen within the 90 days prior to the workshop, your workshop investment will be transferred to a future event.

How You Will Be Refunded

All refunds will be sent via check. In most cases, we are unable to reverse a charge electronically due to the amount of time that passes between the initial payment and the decision to cancel.

By booking this workshop, you understand and accept the risks associated with travel.
